GRAFFITI will be rife at one spot in Malvern on Saturday - but residents need fear not as it is all part of an arts workshop being hosted by Malvern Theatres.
The Grange Road venue is holding the street art and break-dancing workshops.
Budding break-dancers will be able to practise everything from spinning on their heads to the electric worm. The project has been organised to tie in with a new hip-hop production - TAG....Me Vs. The City - being staged at the theatre the following weekend.
And it is being supported by Malvern Youth Centre and Worcestershire County Coun-cil. Worcester-based artist Marko Stankovitch will teach the background, philosophies and roots of street art.
Youngsters will then get the chance to create large pieces of art using spray paint, which will be displayed in the theatre. The art workshop, suitable for 13 to 18-year-olds, runs from 10am to midday and 1pm to 3pm, with numbers limited to 10 per session.
Alternatively, those aged eight to 10 years old can try break dancing in a workshop led by 2FaCeD dance company.
A session runs from 10am to 11.30am before a beginners breakin' session takes place from midday to 2pm and an intermediate session from 3pm to 5pm - the latter two at Malvern Youth Centre in Albert Road North.
Numbers are limited to 20 participants per session. Each workshop costs £6 and includes a ticket to see TAG... Me vs. The City.
Workshop and TAG tickets can be booked via the venue box office on 01684 892277.
