Redditch VC Women 4
Kidderminster Ladies Reserves 1
REDDITCH reached the semi-final of the Kidderminster Women's League Cup with a superb performance against Harriers.
Some excellent passing and movement early on, particularly from Jenny Worthington and Claire Compton, caused problems for the visitors.
And it was Compton who opened the scoring with her first of the season, turning home Emily Johnson's cross to the far post.
Johnson missed a chance to double the lead when she fired her penalty wide while, at the other end, Nicole Metje was forced into an excellent save.
The second half saw Harriers up their game but it was VC who took a grip on the game when they scored two goals in as many minutes through Worthington and Jenna Dedicoat, the latter following good work by Kate Saint. Dedicoat completed the scoring late on.

Studley 0 Knowle 2
STUDLEY took a break from league action only to bow out of the League Cup.
In an evenly matched first half both teams were scrapping for possession on a muddy pitch.
Knowle edged ahead through a controversial penalty but the second half saw the home side look for a way back thanks to some good work from Sam Wilkinson and Sam Tayler.
The visitors doubled their lead following a mix-up in the box.

Cannock Town 2 Headless Cross 0
HEADLESS Cross were beaten in the League Cup Knockout despite a bright start against their Staffordshire opponents.
Jade Craddock was denied by the Cannock keeper early on and there were further chances for Allison Wayley, Craddock, Lisa Paronuzzi and Mandy Ellicott.
Cannock slowly came into the game and opened the scoring following a defence-splitting pass.
Cross keeper Laura Randall made a number of good saves but was beaten when a free-kick was flicked home.
There was a debut for Laura Barlone but Cannock secured the win to book their place in the next round.
Cross manager Mandy Hill said: "Hopefully we will be making some new signings over the next week."
