WOODRUSH u16s edged to a 5-0 victory over Bromsgrove, the scoreline reflecting how even the match was.
The only points of the game came early in the second half when full-back Danny Oak powered over the try line from the base of a ruck.
There was a mixed bag of results for Alcester's youngsters.
The u14s travelled to Claverdon with only 14 players and were beaten 31-10, a harsh scoreline that failed to reflect the effort shown by the visitors.
Alcester's u13s had just 13 players for their match with local rivals Droitwich who showed their strength with a 44-0 victory.
The u10s returned from Claverdon following a defeat by four tries to nil.
And it was a similar outcome for the u8s who lost both of their matches at Claverdon 10-8 and 8-7.
Alcester's u7s played one tight match against Claverdon which ended in a 7-7 draw.
