Evesham U-10 6pts, Bromyard 0
KNOCKOUT action resulted in the Under-10s recording their best home win this season.
Thomas Heneghan picked up a spilt ball and returned at great pace to swiftly open the scoring.
This action was soon followed by Adam Johnson's accurate line-out throw finding Alex Tarplee who released the ball to Michael Harris and Heneghan was on hand to embark on a great solo run to double his try tally.
This rapid scoring forced the visitors to regroup with determined drives but defensive work, led by player of the match James Williamson and Sam Waller, kept the visitors out.
At this point, the centre ground took on a new importance as Mathew Camp and Alex Tar-plee, was able to recover the ball and released fellow centre Joe Beirns to drive home the advantage with a third score.
Michael Harris continues to develop his forward play and punished some weak positional defence to secure Evesham's fourth first half try.
Interval changes saw the welcome return of dynamic brothers Alex and Ian Stoddard and their immediate tackling played a vital part as the visitors made repeated forays into Evesham's half.
Only twice in the second half did the local boys secure offensive ball and on both occasions they went on to touch down.
Matthew Camp recovered the ball from a ruck and made a fine solo run to score in the corner.
Scrum-half Jack Witts then drove over the line to finish off a move that saw Evesham camped on the visitors' try line for several phases of play.
