A NURSERY experienced some Far Eastern culture when it held a festival to celebrate the Chinese new year.
Jellybabies Nursery, which meets at Longbridge Methodist Church in Bristol Road South, Rednal, welcomed the Year of the Dog by kicking off a two-week festival.
The children sampled the delights of Chinese culture with a range of traditional dishes, as well as performing dragon dances and acting out a New Year story.
Nursery manager Jacqueline Walker said: "We like to make sure we cover a range of cultures and areas of development, to make the children aware."
