PROTESTERS concerned about the future of the Alex Hospital will raise their placards and voices during a demonstration tomorrow.
Save the Alex campaigners will be protesting outside the Woodrow Drive hospital from 12.30pm while members of the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust meet to discuss the proposal to transfer some of the services at the Alex to Worcester, including the maternity and paediatric departments.
Campaign leader Neal Stote said: "The very reason we are holding the march tomorrow is because all the trust board members will be at the hospital and we want our feelings to be known. We realise this might not be convenient for some of the people who wanted to show up but we wanted to ensure at least a few of us were there with our placards, both at the entrance to the hospital and outside the building.
"We need this matter to remain as high profile as possible."
