Two weeks ago, you reported the reservations of two people about the skate ramps to be used outside Malvern Priory last Saturday.
I do hope those people went to the event and saw that their fears were groundless.
The Community Safety team are to be congratulated on staging an excellent day, both inside and outside.
Further congratulations are in order, as they raised sufficient support to ensure the day was not a charge on the Council Tax-payers.
Anyone passing through, or visiting, Malvern Priory would have seen a remarkable display.
When I was there, I saw about 20 youngsters, from aged four to 14, keeping fit, enjoying themselves and practising and demonstrating their skills.
I was particularly pleased to see that they were all wearing safety helmets and queuing sensibly for their turns. Some of the older ones were generously helping and advising younger ones.
I am convinced that more ramps, here or elsewhere, would result in fewer bored teenagers and a better community for all of us.
I believe that those wishing to enjoy the Priory grounds would appreciate the free gymnastics display as an added bonus!
