I WRITE regarding the threatened closures of Arrow Valley Countryside Centre - the jewel in the crown of Redditch's environmental advance - and Forge Mill Museum, a wonderful example of the town's historical legacy.

It is outrageous such closures should even be contemplated given that Redditch is not awash with cultural facilities.

All this because of the financial incompetence of the council, culminating in the disastrous "free" AIR Festival.

The council should look at its sub-contracting of services for starters - where it is not getting value for money.
