ALCESTER Grammar School turned in one of the strongest performances in this year's secondary school league tables.
One hundred per cent of pupils taking their GCSEs achieved A*- C grades, including students sitting maths and English exams.
Headteacher Iain Blaikie (above) said: "We are delighted to maintain our high standards of grades and it's another golden year for the school."
He also congratulated the other Alcester schools that achieved high results, saying they would be aiming for the same high standards again next year.
Alcester Grammer was just one of four schools in Warwickshire to achieve this high mark, although other town schools fared well in the tables.
St Benedict's Catholic High School had a 76 per cent pass mark and Alcester High School Technology College scored 66 per cent - almost 10 per cent above the national average.
The figures show that overall, Warwickshire pupils did well, scoring an average of 57.2 per cent compared to the national average of 56.3 per cent.
Nearly half the county's schools also registered a good score for the value-added measure - showing if a pupil has made more progress than expected since taking their Key Stage 2 tests at the age of 11.
Helen Whiter, Head of School Performance at Warwickshire County Council, said: "We shouldn't lose sight of the fact that what is being recorded are the achievements of individual students who have put in a lot of hard work to reach the level they have.
"They and their teachers should be proud of them."
