THE new president of the Moreton-in-Marsh and District Agricultural and Horse Show Society is John Lloyd, a long-serving member of council and former chairman of the horse section.
He was presented with his badge of office by retiring president Douglas Scott at the annual meeting and awards presentations, at the Manor House Hotel in Moreton, and who in turn was presented with a past president's badge.
Mr Scott said: "It has been a joy to be president for the past 12 months and it enabled me to see the show in an entirely different light and to see just how much goes on, thanks to a large group of people who makes it such a success."
Mr Scott described Moreton Show as "the best one-day show on the show circuit".
Ken Taylor, a man totally committed to Moreton Show, was elected deputy president.
Graham Baddeley, completing his two-year term as chairman, thanked members for their support and in turn was thanked for the super job he had done.
