THE Swan Theatre Amateur Company presents One Fine Day, a moving one-man play about family life and love.
This play was originally performed to critical acclaim at London's Albery Theatre in 1995, handling its subject matter with sensitivity, warmth and humour.
Eddie, a young metal worker, lives contentedly on a suburban housing estate with his wife, Jeanie and two adored small children.
He and Jeanie have always been frank with their children about matters of sex, but when his daughter stumbles into their bedroom during their lovemaking she cheerfully recounts the details next day at school.
Eddie finds himself investigated by social services and voluntarily exiles himself from the home.
Life without his children is unbearable so he decides to kidnap them for a day's outing to the seaside. Everything goes awry. He is arrested and suffers considerable vilification until his wife finds a solution.
Written by Dennis Lumborg and directed by Chris Jaeger, One Fine Day runs at the Swan Theatre, Worcester, from Wednesday, February 1 to Saturday, February 4 at 7.30pm.
Tickets, priced, £7.50 can be booked at Huntingdon Arts box office on 01905 611427.
