COCK & Magpie captain Neil Harrison saw his team lose out to Rising Sun A in the Banks's Bewdley Darts League after an incredible night of action.
Alf Common and Harrison brushed Sun's Mick Link and Ian Parker in the doubles and the skipper did the same to Paul Welsh in the singles but the home team ended up losing.
Great Western got back to winning form beating Rising Sun B in a close encounter with Sun's Shaun Portman dragging the legs level with a 133 shot, only to see Paul Kiteley rap the match up for the Westerners.
Waggon & Horses knocked their B team off the top of the league table with some of the best darts of the night with both sides regularly hitting tons.
The decisive blow came when captain Jackie Crew and Steve Watton took the final leg against Des Tipper and Craig Hopkins.
Black Boy B captain Wily Knight could afford to rest himself after his team completed the double over Bowling Club A with wins for Dave Bridgewater, Tom Denty, Archie Fernall, and Paul Juggins.
Red Lion A also completed the double, beating their second string, Red Lion B, with some excellent darts by John Mason and Anthony Morris.
The return of Russ Wilks made the night complete with a clean whitewash.
Wribbenhall Social were unlucky in their 5-2 defeat to Waggon A with all the games going down to a double finish.
Bliss Gate celebrated returning to the top of the league, narrowly beating a very good Black Boy A team with Kevin Biggs and partner Mat Sheehan's doubles win doing the damage.
