KIDDERMINSTER Chess Club maintained their unbeaten record in Division One of the Worcestershire League with a 3-3 draw at home to Worcester.
The highlight of the match was John Wrench's 13-move defeat of Eric Myers on the top board.

For the third successive year, Bissell competed in the University of Westminster Congress, at Harrow.
He managed to win only one and draw two of his six games, in the open event.
He was beaten in round one by former Kidderminster player, Lee Davis. One of his draws was against Birmingham's Alan Ruffle.
