PERSHORE pupils have been doing their bit for the disaster relief effort for the Tsunami and the earthquake in Pakistan and Kashmir.
Pershore High School pupils raised £490 for a Pershore Rotary Club shelter box by holding a non-uniform day.
The shelter box is a ten-man tent with blankets, cooking equipment, tools and water purification tablets.
Rotary Club organisers, who had been storing boxes in a warehouse, have been virtually cleared out following a series of disasters including the Asian tsunami and the Pakistan earthquake.
Now they are keen to rebuild supplies so they can respond quickly in the event of another major disaster. Anyone who can raise money for shelter boxes can ring Pershore Rotary Club on 01386 556167.
