YOUNG readers in Wyre Forest could benefit from a book swap shop in Kidderminster this month.
Parents wishing to donate their children's old reading books can now do so at the Early Learning Centre in the Rowland Hill Centre.
In exchange, parents who donate five old books can receive five new books for half price.
The nationwide book amnesty, set to benefit playgroups, doctors' surgeries and hospitals, will run until Tuesday.
Assistant manager of the Kidderminster store, Charm Reeves, said: "There are so many parents out there with books that they no longer want and our shop will provide a drop-off point where they can exchange those old books for new.
"We only want books that are in good condition, without pages missing, and parents are also welcome to donate books without purchasing any others."
