BUDDING young performers in Wyre Forest have been invited to audition for the chance to appear in a hit musical.
The London Palladium production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang will be at the Birmingham Hippodrome from Monday, June 26 until Saturday, September 2.
Producers are looking for children to appear in the show and auditions are being held on Saturday, February 4 at The Custard Factory in Gibb Street, Birmingham.
Several young performers are needed to rehearse various parts within the show and perform from mid-May until September 2.
The auditions are for boys and girls between eight and 12 who are no more than 4ft 10ins and do not have fixed braces. They need to be boys with unbroken voices and girls undeveloped, with the ability to sing and dance, who must also live within commutable distance of the theatre.
At the auditions, children, who are advised to wear comfortable clothing, will be asked to sing Truly Scrumptious from the musical and should take along a passport-sized photograph.
Some performers will be recalled on Sunday, February 5 but no children will be seen for the first time on that day.
Children, who must be accompanied by an adult, will be seen in the order they arrive and only a limited number can be seen.
The auditions start at 9am.
