A DRIVER suffered multiple injuries when he collided with a car that was overtaking his.
Geoffrey Perks was on the A456 bypass in Bewdley when he appeared to have tried to overtake another vehicle in his BMW 325 saloon, colliding with one that was overtaking him.
At Tuesday's inquest, in Stourport, county coroner Victor Round read a statement from the investigation officer at the September 4 crash.
PC Saunders said: "It would appear that Mr Perks, for whatever reason, simply misjudged the speed, line and course taken."
A statement from another witness, Anthony Lawrence, said the 60-year-old, of Whitton Paddocks, Whitton, near Ludlow, had suddenly, and without indicating, veered into the path of the vehicle behind.
Mr Round recorded a verdict of accidental death.
