Droitwich 4,
Evesham Ladies 2
EVESHAM'S last friendly before the league restarts at Malvern this weekend saw them face a side from a division higher.
It couldn't have started any worse when the hosts took the lead after a mere ten seconds and they went on to dominate the first half and add two more goals.
It could have been worse for a lethargic visiting outfit had it not been for some excellent saves from Charmaine Mitchell.
With a tough talking to from coach Lis Sterling, Evesham were determined to get themselves back into the game and started to pass the ball with some good two touch play.
Good play round the back from Helen Kennedy, Emma Scott and Sam Witheford saw the midfield push upfield and the attack applied pressure on the home defence to force a short corner.
Karen Robinson hit saw Tash Kuiper slip the ball for Rhian Fuge to score her first goal of the season.
Now fired up, Evesham continued to put pressure on their opponents and a second goal was inevitable and arrived when Vanessa Dufty struck the ball cleanly into the goal.
Evesham had chances to equalise but it was Droitwich who had the final say with a fourth goal five minutes from time.
