Redditch VC followed up last week impressive performance with another battling display to beat current league champions Malvern 1-0.
The visitors began well and VC almost went behind when a ball was drilled along the six-yard line only for the Redditch defence to scramble away.
Solid defending from Player of the Match Ellen Branagh denied Malvern in front of goal and the home side slowly eased their way into the game.
Jenna Dedicoat sent an effort just wide before half-time and was inches off target with another chance after the break.
The only goal came 12 minutes from time when a superb angled pass from Kate Saint set Dedicoat free inside the box and her first touch allowed her to take the ball in her stride and fire into the bottom corner.
Excellent defending then denied the visitors a way back into the game.
n Studley returned from West Brom Strollers with a 4-0 defeat.
All the goals came in the first half with the visitors finding themselves 3-0 down inside the opening 20 minutes.
Studley made changes at the break and began the second half with a new formation. The backfour were now able to deal with the West Brom strikers and, thanks to some good saves from Amy Staniland, Studley regained their composure.
Good build up play and constant hard work saw Studley create several chances, in complete contrast to the first half performance, but they were unable to reduce the deficit.
Lisa Johnson was Manager's Player of the Match.
Studley play host to Knowle on Sunday in the League Cup.
