Evesham Utd U-12 1,
Churchdown Panthers 0
THERE were bitten finger nails all round after Sunday's proverbial game of two halves!
Unbeaten Panthers piled on the pressure and limited their hosts to a handful of attacks in the first half.
Goalkeeper Leon Ballard's handling and positioning was superb in dealing with the Cheltenham side's attacks.
Evesham gradually came back into the game and it was Elliot Grady who broke the deadlock late on after a move involving James Bearcroft, Colin Philpott and Henry Woods.
Evesham Utd U-13 A 2,
Evesham Utd B 6
HENRY Woods opened the scoring for the B team before setting up strike partner Elliot Grady for a second.
Grady then returned the favour, crossing for Woods to chip the keeper from the edge of the box. Tom Evans was the provider for the third with Woods rounding the keeper to slot home.
The A team then began a revival, when Jake Bennett reacted quickest to fire home following a free-kick and the same player Bennett reduced the deficit even further with a header.
Sam Ford restored the two-goal cushion before Grady completed the scoring after Peter Smith had blocked a shot by Woods who had latched on to James Bearcroft's through ball.
Badsey Rgrs U-8 0,
Swindon Bowmen 6
FRIENDLY action was the order of the day for the Badsey juniors and the Cheltenham League side certainly showed their class especially in the second half.
Rangers battled well in the opening half but still trailed by two goals at the break after which the Bowmen arrowed in on an emphatic triumph by scoring four more times without reply.
Harvington U-9 4, Inkberrow 2
JOHNNY Redding fired in a hat-trick to help Harvington record a hard-fought victory.
Ben Salter chipped in with a fourth on a day when James Muir was named player of the match for an excellent display against spirited opponents.
Oldbury Pk Tigers 1,
Evesham Utd U-12 B 0
DAN Wilcox, Angus Steele and Joe Iorns came closest to finding the net for the unlucky losers.
Goalkeeper Tom Bennett kept his side in the contest at the other end but he was finally beaten in the second half by what proved to be the clincher.
Broadway U-10 8, Evesham Utd 0
SEVEN first half goals left Broadway home and dry at the interval and their opponents in a state of shock!
Some great link-up play resulted in a hat-trick for Jack Witts and two apiece for Cameron Jones and Rory Gaine,
Evesham were more determined after the interval and the hosts were made to work much harder and were rewarded with one more goal courtesy of Jack Perks, while a thumping drive from Arron Parkes struck a post.
Pershore Tn U-10 0, Badsey Rgrs 5
UNBEATEN Badsey staged a good display against improving opposition who found themselves two goals adrift at half-time after Matty Andrew and Ryan Dixon had both found the net.
Dixon, who was having a superb game, made it 3-0 within two minutes of the start of the second period but Rangers were grateful to some solid defensive work from Will Gillette to deny Town a reply.
Dixon completed his treble with a fine finish before player of the match Andrew chipped a splendid fifth from 35 yards to seal an excellent victory.
Badsey Rgrs U-11 8,
Southside Ath 1
RANGERS extended their unbeaten run to nine matches while moving into the top five in the C & G League.
The hosts were three goals to the good after just five minutes thanks to two goals from Luke Richardson and one for James Schembri.
Kieran Clarke then produced two fine stops to thwart Southside before Jonathan Bell, Schembri and Jack Milward all found the net to make it 6-0 at the break.
Badsey made several changes to their side and a spirited Southside threatened more after the break but could only manage a solitary consolation while Richardson took his own personal tally to four.
Evesham Utd U-14 3, Littleton 5
JAMIE Banks helped himself to a hat-trick as United emerged victorious from last weekend's close-fought derby encounter.
A determined Littleton side performed well despite the margin of defeat that was heightened by an own goal and a Chris handy effort.
Evesham Utd Robins U-12 2,
Kempsey Warriors 1
JOSH Downey gave United an early lead after a fine run and shot but Kempsey were back on level terms five minutes later.
Evesham's back four of Jake Phillips, Craig Whiting, Andrew Townsend and Andrew Tolkien regained their composure to deny the visitors further opportunities.
The Kempsey defence was breached again before the break when Joel Haycock scored what proved to be the game's final goal and a second successive win for United.
Warriors had their chances in the second half but found goalkeeper Max Bailey in inspired form and a goalless half left the home side victorious.
