Kenilworth 4, Littleton 3
SATURDAY was typical of Littleton's topsy-turvy season when, following a run that saw them beat three of the top four teams and draw with the other, they should lose to a side firmly rooted at the foot of the table.
However, a crippling injury list meant that five of the previous week's team were unavailable and, although leading 3-1 at half-time, they were unable to hold on for victory.
Littleton made the early running and a shot from Paul Jones was beaten away but he then set up Joe Wright who turned and shot home from close-range.
Although Littleton continued to create chances there were danger signs at the other end where Kenil-worth's blinding pace was proving troublesome.
However, it was the visitors who scored again when Simon Brain's superb through ball found Neale Haines who hit a first time drive past the keeper from 18 yards.
This was quickly followed by a Kenilworth reply but a header from had restored Littleton's two-goal advantage by half-time.
The second half saw the hosts throw men forward and goals on 55, 65 and 80 minutes saw Kenilworth turn the game on its head and take a 4-3 lead.
Littleton then enjoyed their best spell and almost scored a last-gasp equaliser but a drive from Jones cleared the bar.
The Five Acres outfit are at home on Saturday to Leamington Hibs (2pm).
