Redditch manager Gary Whild believes he has a star of the future in defender Mark Creighton.
The former Willenhall Town player has been the star of the show in United's back-to-back wins against Nuneaton and Vauxhall Motors and Whild thinks the best is yet to come.
"Mark Creighton has plenty of potential and we have told him that," the Reds boss said.
"If he knuckles down, especially at the age he is, it is up to him how far he goes especially at non-league level.
"I don't know if he has any aspirations to play higher than that but centre backs don't come into their prime until they are around 28 so he has time on his side. It is up to him now."
Creighton and Asa Charlton have forged an impenetrable central defensive pair in the absence of Scott Dann. The young Walsall defender missed the Nuneaton game with a hamstring injury but was then recalled by the League One outfit.
The introduction of experienced keeper Richard Anstiss has also helped and Whild hopes his side can continue its steady improvement.
Whild added: "I have always said that you only get back what you put in and the efforts put in by the players since Kim (Casey) and myself have been in charge has been excellent even when the results weren't going our way.
"You can manage a team with the desire and attitude the players have shown and we have deserved the last two results."
And Whild hopes striker Jermaine Clarke could be a long-term addition to the squad.
The striker played a handful of games for the Reds before Christmas while on loan from Evesham United. Now he is back at the Valley Stadium.
"I don't really know what the situation is," Whild admitted. "The only conversation I have had with (Evesham manager) Dave Busst was when I was told they were not looking to use him. We are keen to have the lad and while he is here we will look after him and hope we get the rewards from him."
