I REFER to the letter that appeared at the beginning of the month from Councillor Stephen Peters, in which the final paragraph stated there was reference to the issue of a third wheelie bin for recyclable materials which would presumably replace the black and red boxes.
I wonder if this is an authorised leak to see what reactions are voiced or is it the council's way of keeping residents informed?
Whichever it is, I believe there will be a reaction because the need to accommodate three wheelie bins on a property will undoubtedly cause many residents a problem in space terms.
The current use of the boxes does give a degree of flexibility as to where they are stored which a wheelie bin does not.
The councillor comments on the problems inherited from the initial advice. Perhaps its time to re-think what is collected and how, with particular reference to garden rubbish.
