Kenilworth KH 0 Fairdield Villa 2
FAIRFIELD Villa comfortably overcame Kenilworth to keep their place at the top of the Midland Combination Division One on Saturday.
Joint manager Paul Oakes admitted he was delighted with his side's form.
He said: "It was a comprehensive victory from start to finish.
"We are playing with confidence and look a really good side at the moment."
Villa almost opened the scoring in the opening minutes when Ian Squire forced Kenilworth's goalkeeper into a fine save.
Joe Walsh opened the scoring in the 15th minute with a neat side foot finish after he was set up by Stuart Hall.
Walsh wrapped up the points in the 40th minute when he unleashed a 25-yard shot into the top corner.
Oakes said: "We were always in control and I was surprised by how much in charge we were."
