Woodrush 0 Tenbury 3

INJURIES remain a key concern for Woodrush coach Matt Elwell ahead of this weekend's derby clash with Kings Norton.

A penalty seven minutes from time gave Tenbury the points at Forhill on Saturday.

But Elwell admits his side still had a chance to grab victory with the last move of the game.

"We had a two-on-one situation but failed to take advantage," he said.

"Because of the number of injuries we have, we have had to change our game plan around. We are defending and then relying on counter-attacks.

"But the game could have gone either way and I'm very pleased with the lads and the effort they showed.

"It was a cracking game of rugby between two evenly-matched teams. We created some chances but they played better than us on the day."

The Woodrush coach is hoping to have a few of his walking wounded back in contention for the match at Kings Norton.

"It will be a tough match because we will have players out and they are a more experienced side.

"But it is a derby game and anything is possible."

n Saturday's league match at Ash Lane kicks off at 2.30pm.
