Kings Norton 12 Broadstreet 2nds 33
Without any pre-arranged fixture, Kings coach Ian Jackson needed a tough test from the fixture pool to prepare for this weekend's crucial league clash with neighbours Woodrush.
And he was not disappointed as a very strong Coventry outfit provided the opposition at Hopwood.
The well-drilled visitors soon showed their obvious experience and ability as their field presence seemed to overawe both the home side and the referee.
Broadstreet scored two converted tries early on and the home side were not helped by having two players sin binned.
Three more converted tries opened up a 33-0 lead before Kings finally put some points on the board.
With 20 minutes to go, a driving maul set up Ken Whitehouse in the corner before winger Pete Noonan's speed took him over.
Kings should have scored two further tries but play was pulled back for dropped or forward passes.
