NEW Year's Eve shoppers are being urged to cast their minds back and help police solve an incident in the Kingfisher Centre.
A police spokesman said that while they were aware December 31 was some time ago, people tended to remember what they were doing.
Shortly before 4.30pm on New Year's Eve, officers were called to a group of people fighting outside Vision Express. The group included two Asian women and three or four Asian men, all believed to be in their 20s or 30s.
One woman was treated in hospital for minor injuries and a man was arrested. He was released on police bail while enquiries continue.
Sgt Julian Smith, from Redditch police, said: "Our investigation is continuing and we are keen to talk to any witnesses who have not yet spoken to the police.
"Most people will be able to recall what they were doing on New Year's Eve and we would urge anyone who was in the shopping centre and saw anything connected to the incident to get in touch."
Sgt Smith said they knew a young Asian girl, described as two or three years old and wearing a pink coat, was knocked to the floor during the fighting.
He added: "A member of the public came over and picked this child up and we are particularly keen to talk to this woman."
Anyone with information can call Redditch police on 08457 444888 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
