PARENTS of teenagers can at times find it very challenging as their children develop opinions and test out their independence.
Relate's Riding The Storm courses are being offered in Redditch and Worcester and start in the first week of February.
Relate is working in partnership with Parents Matter, the parenting project sponsored by Worcestershire Children's Fund to co-ordinate parenting support services in selected areas in the county.
As well as providing relationship support in the county for couples, individuals, young people and families, Relate also provides courses in relationship and parenting.
The course for parents of teenagers looks at how parents can build relationships with their children and offers knowledge and research, as well as lots of practical exercises.
It will also give parents the opportunity to talk openly and share with others their experiences and problems of dealing with teenagers.
The eight-week course will be run at Birchensale School Bungalow.
Each course has a maximum of 12 places.
Registration for free places will be on a first come basis and will be open until 5pm on Friday, January 23.
To register, call Parents Matter on 0800 5875980.
