TO mark Inner Wheel Day in January, president Valerie Pickering welcomed district chair Dawn Williams, who lit the candle of friendship to "The World Over".
A table collection for the Salvation Army raised £47 to mark the day.
Elsie Hayden won the raffle, an arrangement of roses. Elsie also won recognition when, as a member of the League of Friends at the Alexandra Hospital, was recently awarded a certificate for her services, which was presented to her by Jacqui Smith MP.
Overseas officer Pat Pritchard thanked everyone for their generosity in November when they gave aid for victims of the earthquake in Pakistan, also for the 21 "shoeboxes" for the charity Operation Christmas Child.
Marjorie Workman has offered to make a special cake to mark our 50th birthday celebrations at our Fellowship Lunch in March, and a further party day out is being arranged in June for all club members.
