A COLD but fine morning welcomed visitors and members to the picturesque shoo-ting ground at Throckmor- ton Clay Pigeon Shooting Club.
The Skeet discipline was the first to produce solid scores with many competitors topping 20.
John Arnold dropped only one bird to take top spot only to be overtaken by Brian Smith who was destined to be the victor with a perfect score.
The Down the Line layout also resulted in many high scores but it was the perfect 25/25 = 75/75 from triumphant Alan Ayres and G Crowther that topped the overall standings.
The spell of high scores continued on the English Sporting layout and Pat Smith was the first to break 50 soon followed by Paul Colley.
Arnold and N Rees both held the lead for a short time but John Tarplee dropped just two birds to top the board.
