SIR - D E Margrett says that wheelie bins are irrelevant as far as council tax is concerned. The whole exercise of buying the bins and new lorries is all to do with money. This is because of a directive from the EU regarding landfill sites.
Our cousins in Europe have been re-cycling since the Second World War and we should have been doing the same.
What I'm objecting to is the stuff that can't be re-cycled being left to rot and fester in bins outside everyone's home for two weeks. By doing this, the council is giving us only half the service we had last year. Why are they doing this?
JOHN SHEARON,
Worcester.
