NEIGHBOURHOOD Watch has been alerted by the police to a gang who are targeting the villages around Ledbury and breaking into cars parked in driveways in a search for GPS navigation equipment - so do take extra care over the security of vehicles.
Wellington Heath Gardening Club held its AGM last week, and despite fears of possible disaster, a new chairwoman and a treasurer have been elected so now the club can continue with its programme as normal. The annual subscription is still only £3, and anyone interested in gardening on any level will be made very welcome at the meetings on the second Wednesday of each month at 7.45pm.
The death has been announced of Allen Leeds of Withers Fruit Farm. Mr Leeds had been a familiar figure in the district until his long battle with leukaemia reduced his activities. The funeral took place at Christ Church yesterday.
A preliminary notice about the ceilidh on Saturday, February 11 from 7.30-11pm with music by Ringerike. A bar licence has been applied for and the tickets (adult £6, child £4, family £15), include supper.
