WEST Malvern travelled to VBL Sports, who are top of the Worcester Saturday League division one, and their dismal run continued when they were beaten 4-0.
VBL SPORTS 4, WEST MALVERN 0
The game was evenly contested for the first 30 minutes until VBL broke the deadlock and the centre forward drove the ball past stand-in keeper Matty Powell.
The second-half saw West Malvern start off more determined and they began to get back into the game but once again VBL Sports upped the pace and scored a second goal.
The West were forced to make two subs when Greg Innes and Rob Burston were injured. The introduction of James Appleby to the right of midfield created problems for the VBL defence and Dave Kelm was unlucky not to score from close range. Although West Malvern began to get more into the game and were creating more chances, VBL scored a third goal and wrapped it up with five minutes to go when keeper Powell was beaten at the near post.
Tomorrow (Saturday), West Malvern, sponsored by the Cross Keys and Amey, travel to play Goodrest Sports at Little Perdiswell. Players meet at Bakery car park 1pm or ground at 1.45pm.
