What a brilliant idea to install a portable skate ramp in the Priory
grounds!
Skateboarding is a really exciting sport requiring great skill and perfect timing and the young people who manage the most extraordinary feats on their boards are to be congratulated.
I simply cannot agree with Beryl Pardoe (Your Letters, January 13) that the Priory grounds are a haven of rest from the traffic.
The grounds are pleasant indeed, but you cannot get away from the noise of traffic anywhere in Malvern, even there.
For my part, I love to see young people having fun and if it means a little bit of cheerful noise as well, so much the better.
I would suggest that most of the youngsters in Malvern are delightful, law-abiding citizens and we should welcome them and their harmless pastimes with big hearts and happiness!
