IN an exact reversal of their first match of the Brewin Dolphin Malvern Table Tennis division three season, Crackpots B suffered their first defeat at the hands of CSSC Nomads.
It was a match where every player had wins and only Kevin Howard, making his first appearance since returning from working abroad, won all three for Nomads. Tony Hughes won two and Rob Redden one for the home team.
Ted Cates, Stan Ginn and Tim Snee each won one for Crackpots.
This result puts Nomads into second place in the division.
Steve Mulka and Malcolm Dalley for X-Police, were both playing well when they met Abbeydowne and won all their singles and the doubles. Roy Holland, Bill Lucas and Peter Denniss each won a singles for Abbeydowne.
Against Hop Pickers, X-Police fared less well, with Malcolm claiming two and Ralph Cook and Alan Holmes just one each. Nick Haggar took, what is now becoming his usual, three sets and the doubles with his brother Adrian, who won two for the Hop Pickers.
RESULTS: X-Police 7, Abbeydowne 3; CSSC Nomads 7, Crackpots B 3; Hop Pickers TT Club 6, X-Police 4.
