Pershore 9, Aston University 1
A LATE start to Saturday's Coaching Solutions Division Two clash necessitated a shortened game but this seemed to inspire Pershore to a quick start.
Within 90 seconds, a well-worked short corner between James Hughes, Rob Curley and Garth Rushton saw the latter open the scoring.
This set the pace and tone for the first half and a goal apiece from Curley and Richard Lisle made it 3-0.
Aston replied with a well taken goal halfway through the half after which a high-octane 15-minute spell produced further goals for Lisle and Hughes and two more for Curley.
The second half was in many ways an anti-climax but Neil Gabriel popped up for a well-deserved goal and Curley rounded off a successful afternoon with his fourth goal.
