MEMBERS of Amazing Feet Running Club enjoyed success at the Worcestershire County Cross Country Championships at Droitwich last Saturday with both the club's male and female athletes finishing fifth overall. In the ladies event, captain Sarah Lewis was 15th out of 24 finishers in a time of 35.32, to win the F35 County bronze medal.
Tamara Carse finished 21st in 37.51, with Marie Byrne in 24th position to lift the category F45 silver medal.
In the men's event, David Whymant (M60) and Lindsay Pulley (M65) both came away as county champions in their categories, while Roger Canavan took the bronze medal in category M60.
Full club finishers (out of 79 total) in the men's race were: Andy Grice 14th in 42.50, Shaw Pye 40th in 47.15, Craig Lewis 43rd in 48.04, Simon Jarosinski 47th in 49.00, Whymant 56th in 50.48, Nic Hyde 62nd in 51.32, David Pye 68th in 54.21, Canavan 77th in 60.03 and Pulley 78th in 67.57.
All members are welcome to attend the club's free annual presentation night, including buffet supper, which takes place at 7.30pm on Friday, January 27 at the Aggborough Suite in Hoo Road.
