A TRIO of Stratford and District Alliance knockout matches ended in draws with two of them being decided from the penalty spot.

Halfords and Quinton shared six goals in the Aquaid Division One League Cup before the latter progressed after a 3-2 shoot-out triumph.

Shipston and Littleton failed to manage a goal after extra-time when Littleton's penalty takers held their nerve to record a 4-2 win.

Quinton live to fight another day in the same Alun Rees Trophy competition after goals from Ben Lewis and Dan Duffey helped the club's Reserve side earn a 2-2 draw with Welford B.

Earlswood and Stratford Spartak shared two goals during normal time but Shaun McKay's overtime strike sealed a place in round two of the R M Smith Cup for Earlswood.

There was no shortage of goals in the at Wickhamford but all ten went the way of the Swan Inn who easily sent Bidford's second team crashing to Alun Rees defeat. Matt Gibbons netted a hat-trick, while Alun Hemming and Danny Miller both scored twice.

FISSC scored seven times with just one in reply at Red Alert to move into round two of the Alun Rees Trophy, while a double for James Cooper helped Studley Nags Head see off Dog and Pheasant.

Four different scorers helped ensure comfortable Stratford Nursing Home Cup progress for Ilmington's second string at Inkberrow, while two for Liam Reynolds helped Henley Forest A defeat Welford A 3-0 in the Cutler Division Three Cup.

Goals were hard to find in the top flight where only Broadway United were successful following a 2-0 win at Henley courtesy of goals from Adam Rich and Luke Bayliss.

The other first division matches ended all-square with Matt Elms scoring twice for Southam in a 2-2 draw at Bidford and Peter Croy and Darren George scoring the respective goals for Badsey United and Alcester Lions.
