EVESHAM College has reached the fourth round of the BCS National College Cup for the first time after a 3-0 defeat of Hartpury.
Will Gayton's astute lob gave Evesham the lead after 14 minutes and the hosts then went out in search of a second and Mark Bellamy went close with a shot from distance.
The second half was to prove a test of character and desire as the Gloucester outfit came out of the blocks well and stand-in goalkeeper Shane Turley was forced into some fine saves.
When play switched to the other end, Hartpury found themselves under increasing pressure and they were finally breached 16 minutes from time when Shaun Stanley netted at the second attempt.
Progress was ensured straight from the restart when the ball was stripped away from a Hartbury defender by Matt Homans who expertly steered the ball into the back of the net.
