CHADDESLEY CORBETT WI - Sheila Spence was the January speaker, on "Mushroom Magic - The Toadstool Trail".
She illustrated many types of fungi, relating the myths and legends surrounding them.
Mrs Spence said many mushrooms and other fungi found in Britain are good to eat, although some must be cooked first.
The New Year dinner on January 28 will take place in the village hall, 7pm for 7.30pm start.
Christine Hickman- Smith announced a series of craft evenings in the village hall, starting on Wednesday from 7.30pm until 9.30pm.
Members are asked to contact her if they wish to attend.
The next meeting will be on February 1 in the village hall at 7.30pm.
