EVESHAM have received another accolade with the news from Lord's following news that the Birmingham Premier League club has been awarded an ongoing bi-annual fixture against the MCC.
"Evesham were first awarded the fixture in 2004 to mark its 150th anniversary," said secretary Bob Shaw. "Obviously, we must have made a good impression to be added to the list of the limited number of clubs who are granted a regular fixture."
The match will take place on Wednesday, August 9 when it is expected that the MCC will send a strong side, possibly including ex-Test and first-class players. For-mer Pakistan all-rounder Mushtaq Mohammed played against Evesham two summers ago.
