Pershore III 57, Evesham IV 10pts
PERSHORE eventually ran away with Sat-urday's game against a spirited Evesham side who kept going right to the final whistle.
The first half was a close-fought affair with both sides scoring early Pershore through an Ian Brown drive and Evesham thanks to a lovely weaving run from winger Simon Hodges.
Pershore ran in two more scores later in the half through a fortunate try from top scorer Andy Brown and another forwards effort that saw Marcus Fisher cross.
The home pack upped their game in the second half and clean ball to the backs allowed them to show what they could do with Dave Snell again pulling the strings at fly-half.
Carl Wilkins ran in two tries from centre, Brown scored his second before Snell ran one in himself to add to his six conversions.
Substitutes Carl Redman and Mike Martin both got on the scoresheet but it was Evesham who had the last word with a length of the pitch try for veteran Eamonn Dooey.
Pershore will be hoping for a repeat at Kings Norton when they return to Merit Table action on Saturday.
