THREE second half goals ensured Pershore Town made comfortable progress in the Midland Combination League Cup after Saturday's 4-0 defeat of Mile Oak Rovers.
Mark Bellamy's strike separated the sides at King George's Playing Fields but there was only one team in it after the break when Andy Hodgetts doubled Town's lead and Simon Judge's late brace helped cap a fine display by Andy Robbins' men.
The new manager had managed to persuade Danny Harris to return to the club and he fitted in well at the back alongside Jamie Bird and Dave Guscott in front of goalkeeper Jamie Lambert.
Robbins will be hoping for more of the same when Pershore visit Pilkington XXX on Satur-day.
King George's Playing Field is the venue for a Midland Cou-nties Youth Championship clash on Sunday.
The match between Worce-stershire and Staffordshire kicks off at 2pm but no Evesham or Pershore-based players are in the squad that features six players from Meadow Park, four from Stourport and four from Stour-bridge.
