THE annual pig keepers' insurance society meeting was held at the White Hart Hotel on Friday night last week.
There was a very high attendance of members, presided over by Mr A Townsend, who was supported by Mr J Johnson and Mr W Hobday.
The secretary, Mr A Hillman, read the report and bank statement for last year. Including a balance of £16 1s 4d the receipts were £39 8s 1d.
The expenditure was between £10 and £11, leaving a balance of £29 6s 5d.
The chairman congratulated the society upon its continued prosperity and referred to the usefulness of the society.
The membership stands at a total of 90.
