ALCESTER: A James Randall penalty was enough to hand the u16s a slender 3-0 victory over their Broadstreet visitors.

Excellent defending and tackling ensured the Coventry side were kept at bay.

The u14s were quickly under pressure against Broadstreet and they finally went down 26-10.

The second half saw Alcester trailing 14-0 but they hit back when Vash Dasari raced down the right wing, made an excellent pick up and scored an unconverted try.

Dasari bagged a second before the end to claim the man of the match award.

The u13s suffered a 14-10 defeat despite scoring two tries at home to Broadstreet. Alex Cogswell and Ben Hope went over for the home side but missed conversions ensured a narrow win for the visitors.

A strong Malvern side proved too good for the u11s who lost 35-7.

A splendid solo try from Jack Darby, converted by Alex Tack, was a late consolation for the visitors.

REDDITCH: Jamie Gordon scored a hat-trick of tries to hand the u15s a 31-14 victory over Hereford in the North Midlands Shield.

Kieran Brough crossed for Redditch's opening try in the opening minute before Matt Smith added a second.

Fly-half Gordon then took over with his treble. Smith finished the game with three conversions.

Gordon was presented with the man of match award in the new Redditch club house.

WOODRUSH: A 34-12 victory for the u16s over local rivals Chaddesley Corbett ensured a fine home and away double.

Zac Small, the Woodrush captain, scored two of his side's six tries with the others coming from wingers Dave Lasiter and Luke Davies, fly-half Tom Newman and hooker Anton Taylor.

The Forhill side claimed all their tries before the break and the team has now won 12 and drawn one of their 14 games this season.

KINGS NORTON: The u15s Rhinos bowed out of the North Midlands Cup at the hands of a powerful and experienced Camp Hill team.

The visitors ran up a huge score in the opening 30 minutes to overwhelm the Hopwood youngsters.
