SOME of the finest female performers in Britain are set to tickle the ribs at the Birmingham Hippodrome when the Vagina Monologues opens on January 31.

Actress Michelle Collins, comedienne Nina Wadia and television favourite Anneka Rice all take part in the often outrageous speeches on the taboo section of sex.

The show's creator New Yorker, Eve Ensler, asked 200 women of all ages, ethnic backgrounds and walks of life to share their most intimate secrets in interviews on such normally taboo topics as birth, sex, and relationships.

The result - a frank, but funny and extremely naughty night out. It runs until February 4.
