SIR - Stourport and District Youth League has decided on censorship of football scores over 8-0. It's time we showed the red card to such political correctness.

Apart from wondering what makes 8-0 the magic trigger for distress, I ask what next? Attempts to protect the young footballers' feelings are a betrayal of reality. What happened to the British sense of humour! Aren't we supposed to be able to laugh at ourselves and our misfortunes?

There isn't any need to create a virtual state secret out of the score. Sport, like life, has its ups and down.
