SIR - With reference to your story of the woman who had her bank account emptied due to credit card detail theft typified how easy it is to get caught by identity thieves - and how even the most upstanding organisations will assist the thieves.
A Worcester News photographer turns up and she naively holds up her bank statement with all her personal details on, for the Worcester News to publish in the paper and on the website for anybody in the world to steal those details. I realise that Worcester News is not going to publish this letter and I don't write it with such expectation. I'm simply suggesting that someone should have thought about it before publishing such a picture. Even now, there could be an identity thief blowing up the picture and in about six months' time you'll be doing another story about how Miss Woods name and details are being used all over the world for all sorts of illegal activity.
