LOCAL swimmers with an urge for adventure are being invited to dive into the deep - and swim with a shark.
Roboshark is coming to Bromsgrove's Dolphin Leisure Centre later this month and is looking for cool pool partners to make waves.
The creature was originally created by Lickey Hills inventor and marine scientist Andrew Sneath for David Attenborough's BBC Wildlife Special. The robotic metal marvel will be appearing at the leisure venue in School Drive on Saturday and Sunday, January 28 and 29.
Councillor June Griffiths, (Con-Alvechurch) cabinet member responsible for culture and community services, said: "It's not very often you get the chance to swim with a shark.
"It may not be a real one, but it is the next best thing. Please come along and join us. It's an adventure not to be missed."
Andrew, who has also created other robotic fish and underwater vehicles, as well as a boat used for parachute stunts in the James Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies, will be on hand during the sessions at 5 and 6.15pm on the Saturday and at 12.20, 1.30 and 2.45pm on the Sunday to talk about his aquatic creation before he lets it swim around.
Sessions costs £6 per person - so be snappy and get into the swim of it.
For more information about Roboshark's visit and to book a place in one of the sessions call the Dolphin Leisure Centre and speak to Julie Smith or Sarah Morgan on 01527 881720.
