TIM Radley, landlord of the Hop Pole in Friar Street, Droitwich, pulls a celebratory pint after real-ale campaign group CAMRA named the hostelry as its pub of the season.
The popular venue will be presented with its certificate on Sunday, January 29. Doug Robinson, membership secretary of the Redditch and Bromsgrove CAMRA group, said: "We had a large choice of pubs in the area that we visited. We found that the Hop Pole stood out and was our pub of the season. Licensee Tim Radley added: "It is really great to be chosen by CAMRA. We have put a lot of work in over the last nine years and this award shows how we have really turned the pub around in that time."
